Château
Chante-Alouette was taken over in 1995 by the Guy d'Arfeuille
family, co-owners of Château La Pointe and Château
La Conseillante, both fine Pomerol wines..
Since then, the estate has benefited from the experience of
its "older brothers".
Tried
and tested methods of excellence are applied in the vineyard. Combining
tradition with modernity, the winemaking style highlights the power,
concentration and balance of the wine. The special care taken in
the vineyard and in the winery make Château Chante-Alouette
truly worthy of its Grand Cru status.
At
the heart of the Saint-Emilion vineyards, neighbouring
on two Premiers Grands Crus (Château Pavie, la Gaffelière),
Château Chante-Alouette is close to the mediaeval
village itself.
The sandy soil make for an elegant, charming, supple wine.
