Benoît d'Arfeuille

Château Chante-Alouette was taken over in 1995 by the Guy d’Arfeuille family, which owned other estates in the Libourne area, so the latest acquisition was able to benefit from the experience of its older cousins. Benoît d’Arfeuille gave a new lease of life to this estate by increasing the size of the vineyard and by introducing winemaking methods that married tradition and the latest technology.

Very special care applied both in the vineyard and in the winemaking cellar, have enabled Château Chante-Alouette to benefit each year from the Grand Cru appellation.

Located in the heart of the vineyards, which has the premiers grands crus Château Pavie and Château la Gaffelière as neighbours, Château Chante-Alouette is close to the medieval town in the commune of Saint-Émilion.
The soil is sandy with veins of clay running through it and contributes elegance and a supple appeal to our wines.
